Sequel series that are worth watching

"Killing Eve"

There is less humor in the second season of the spy thriller "Killing Eve" - instead of the sarcastic Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emerald Fennel was in the showrunner's chair. Now the story of Eva, an employee of the special services, and an assassin has become a little darker, more dramatic, and more like a classic noir. Even the first episode starts with an extremely intense scene - I won't reveal the details, but believe me, everything is very confusing and emotional there.

Spy stories have always been considered more masculine - both the role of a dangerous assassin and the role of a responsible special agent usually go to men. But "Killing Eve" turns these classic tropes upside down and gives both images to women. Moreover, we usually don't see such women on TV: Sandra's character doesn't fit into the classic notions of femininity (Villanella often advises her to watch her style more), and Jodie Comer's character is an outspoken psychopath in a playful pink dress. Watching them hunt each other and try to figure out what's going on between them is a real treat.
"The Mind Hunter"

The second seasons of phenomenally popular series are always a bit scary - what if the showrunners fail to repeat last year's success? What if our expectations turn out to be too high? Maybe the second chapter of "Mind Hunter" loses a little to the first season, but it's still a damn good crime story. This time, the writers focused on the sinister murders in Atlanta, a series of crimes that were committed during 1979-1981. This is a difficult topic related to social inequality, racial discrimination and other prejudices, but the series reveals everything subtly, deeply and in detail. In addition, the show pays a little more attention to the protagonists and how they are affected by the difficult and tedious work in the FBI.

It's hard to call the series entertaining or funny - there's even less laughter than in the first season. But this is definitely one of the best crime dramas of recent years. And stylish - David Fincher's cool, minimalist aesthetic is still felt here.

"The Heirs"

Despite a successful start last year and critical acclaim, "The Heirs" has yet to break out into HBO's flagships. After the second season, it seems that this unfortunate trend continues - the Jesse Armstrong series managed to become even better and burst into the awards season with a bunch of nominations again, but this did not affect the ratings in any way. If you haven't read the Roy family story yet, please fix it as soon as possible.

After the first season, the series' trademark satirical style was only a successful experiment, which is quite difficult to repeat, but the new episodes convince us that the scriptwriters of the "Heirs" really have a talent for entertaining drama. Like the rest of the series in recent years, the show skillfully reacts to events in reality with accurate comments, but it does not overload and remains escapism for the viewer. Despite all the complexities of the intrigues of the family, they are easy, interesting and fun to watch, which in no way detracts from the drama and tragedy of the situations in which the characters find themselves. Well, it's not for nothing that Adam McKay, the executive producer, is here. L’utilisation du code promo 1xbet inscription ne se limite pas uniquement aux paris sportifs.
